Airships might do the trick!

I just found out George Monbiot has a column in The Guardian so I had to check it out and found this interesting idea: Maybe airships is the solution when it comes to the extreme climate impact of airplane travel. In fact, in his book Heat, Monbiot says flying is the only thing we need to cut down on in order to become climate neutral. But maybe not! Sure, it would take longer (an airship travels about 150km/h) but the cost would be only a fraction.
