Let me quote Wikipedia telling about the Plato dialogue Phaedrus, where Socrates says about writing that "it is a remedy for reminding, not remembering, he says, with the appearance but not the reality of wisdom. Future generations will hear much without being properly taught, and will appear wise but not be so, making them difficult to get along with."
This, in essence, is the reason I don't write anymore. There is no point. Either you will know what I'm writing about but your truth won't look the same and hence my words will have no effect on you. Or you don't understand what I write about and therefore will not become any wiser anyway.
This also explains the state of the world of today. Too many people think they are wiser than they are and too many people think others are wiser than they are. But they are not so it is difficult to get along. And so we see rasism, islamophobia, nationalism, capitalism, greed, scare...
People need guidance, comfort and hope. From where will it come? There are good people everywhere but they are hard to see, hear and sense as the foul players are so loud and take up so much space and time.
This will change, of course, as in the end beauty is going to save the world.
